Rhetorical devices

Yes, rhetorical device. Did I stutter? Well technically, one cannot stutter while writing, unless of course one goes and types wi-ii-t-th, yeah, those things... Rhetorical devices in writing are usually irony, or metaphors. Those being the main two anyways, though my personal favorite is irony, metaphors have always seemed to come more naturally to me.

I have decided that I shall now use this blog as a testing ground for my writing, and you all shall be my personal guinea pigs. (Insert evil genius laugh here.) Did you catch the metaphor? Good for you, now give yourself a big pat on the back! ^_^ Yeah, I can be sarcastic and cynical sometimes as well… I apologize in advance for that. As I am typing this my dog is doing her yawn/whine before jumping up to my bed to lie on her pillow. Yes, I said her pillow, and though I cannot be sure, seeing as I do not speak doggy language, I am sure she is insisting that it is an un-Godly hour and would like me to go to bed now.

I am sorry to say that I can not quite oblige her, seeing as my word vomit is not done yet. I must warn you that this could be disasterous when all is sa- err, typed and done. Woa! I just saw what time it is. Maybe my dog had it right? I mean, she is quite clever about these things, though she also sleeps most of her day away... I am sure that being my shadow and following me room to room can probably be quite tiring - just saying. I should start to write Haiku.... hmmm, how do you write Haiku?

Well then, I shall say goodnight, and adieu.

Ugggg....

This has been a long and annoying week... The mouse that my cat broght in on the 3rd had two pups, both male, and her cut on her leg got badly infected. So now, every night, I give her a ton of antibiotics, and try to bandage the leg with antibiotic cream and hope it does some good...
The cold/flu (whatever it is) is finaly loosening it's hold on me and I can almost breathe. Did I mention the decapitated mouse my cat broght in? Yeah, he put it on my BED!!! That was a long night. Currently though, all is good *taps on her wooden desk* and peacefull. ^_^ I hope everyone is doing great as well!

What a day!

There is nothing like a little controlled chaos in life to make you realize just how in control you really are! My day started roughly around four in the morning, with my orange cat, Jay, bringing in a mouse and dropping said mouse onto my bed... It promptly ran off my bed and took off across my room. Thirty some odd minutes later, I caught the mouse and put her, yes it is a her, into a critter keeper, with the intent to let her loose in the morning, after her bleeding stopped and Jay had lost her scent... She had minor injuries, but she was calm when I finally crawled back to bed. This morning I checked in on her, only to find that she had given birth to two male pups while I had been asleep. Now, in order to make sure the pups survive, I have to keep them captive till they can care for themselves... poor babies, poor momma mouse. (Poor me!) I am not sure what I am going to do with my cat, I do not need and more creatures to care for...
Well that was the sum of my day... I will chat at you all later!

Why "Maopopo iaʻu ʻole."?

For those of you who do not know me, allow my to introduce myself, and the reason for the title of my blog...
First off, my middle name is Kaleinani, it is Hawaiian in origin, it means garlands from heaven... my uncle, who lives on the Big Island of Hawaii, helped my parents come up with it. I lived in Hawaii for a long time, and to be honest, I miss it.
Now for the name of the blog, maopop ia'u 'ole means basicly, "I am confused", and since that is how I feel constantly about life, I figured it would be a great name for my blog... I hope that you all enjoy my posts to come, and that you are not offended by my opinions, cause I have plenty of them!

Good night to all and God bless you and your loved ones, and the wonderfull country we live in!
